Announcing the 13th Annual Vegan Chili Cook-off
September 19, 2016
Madison’s 13th annual Vegan Chili Cook-off will take place at the Masonic Center, 301 Wisconsin Avenue, Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 5-9:30 pm. The event features chefs from area restaurants engaged in a friendly competition to see whose chili will reign supreme. Many great area restaurants are signed up to participate; Ale Asylum, Green Owl Cafe, Ladonia Cafe, Liliana’s Restaurant, Monty’s Blue Plate Diner, Tex Tubb’s Taco Palace and Eldorado Grill.
“This is one of the tastiest events of the year. It’s a great chance to enjoy fabulous food while supporting Wisconsin’s oldest animal rights organization,” said Sara Andrews, Executive Director of the Alliance.
Over 200 attendees are expected at the cook-off this year, where they will enjoy live music along with vegan chili, hot dogs, desserts, and a raffle. This event is hosted by Alliance for Animals and the Environment as a fundraiser for the work they do throughout the year. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for students (with ID) and $5 for children.
