GROOMED TRAILS
Ski trails at Elver Park, Yahara Hill Golf Course and Odana Hills Golf will continue to be groomed as conditions allow. Door Creek has been groomed today with two classic skiing tracks. Trail conditions can and do change daily, visit our website for the latest updates.
ICE RINKS ARE STARTING TO OPEN
Earlier this week Olbrich, Elver and Hillington Triangle ice rinks opened for general ice skating. All others have not yet officially opened. We are measuring ice depths regularly and ask that folks please continue to STAY OFF THE ICE until they are officially opened. This information is updated on our ice skating webpage.
ICE SKATING LESSONS
Registration is open for ice skating lessons at Tenney and Elver parks. Classes will now begin the week of January 18. An updated schedule will be posted on ice skating website soon.
WARNER FAMILY FUN NIGHT
Join Madison Parks and Warner Park Community Recreation Center for a family-friendly night of fun this Friday, January 8.
BIRD & NATURE WALK
This Sunday, January 10 come out to Turville Point Conservation Park and join Andria Blattner at the campfire to discover the beauty of individual snowflakes, and then take-in a free, guided nature walk.
GROOVE & GLIDE
How about some Friday night fun on the ice with skating to music under the lights? Bring your own skates or rent a pair at the warming shelter while enjoying some hot chocolate or a snack from our concession. The first one at Elver Park is Friday, January 15.
CANDLELIT SNOWSHOE and SKI EVENTS
Madison Parks has partnered once again with the Aldo Leopold Nature Center and Monona Parks & Recreation to bring you an evening candlelit trails at the Aldo Leopold Center and Edna Taylor Conservation Park. WISCONSIN WOMEN’S HOCKEY
Skate with the Wisconsin Women’s Hockey team at Vilas Park on Sunday, January 17. All ages are welcome to the free event!
LEARN TO…
This season take advantage of our FREE, Learn to Series with ice skating and cross-country skiing workshops. Advanced registration is requested for each of these events beginning with Learn to Ice Skate on Saturday, January 23.
SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES
The Webcrafters-Frautschi Foundation presents FREE movies for all ages at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center. The first movie, Minions, will be shown on Saturday, January 23.
DADDY / DAUGHTER DANCE
This fun-filled evening is perfect for daughters aged 5-12 years old and offers a night of music, refreshments, a complimentary photo booth and of course dancing! Dress up and celebrate this special night on Saturday, February 6.
