Sunday, May 17, 12:00-1:30pm Garlic Mustard Pull Party
Meet at the Warner Park Shelter by the lagoon at noon. Parking is available nearby. Join Wild Warner members, Scouts, and other volunteers to help pull invasive Garlic Mustard that is choking out native woodland plants and flowers in Warner Woods. No experience necessary. Wear appropriate clothing for gardening and getting a bit muddy. Bring water to drink and a hand tool, if you have one to help dig out shallow roots. Garbage bags will be provided by Madison Parks to dispose of the Garlic Mustard. There is also opportunity to stay afterward and help with nearby Castle Creek restoration wetland planting.

Warner Park: Castle Creek Restoration and Wetland Pond Planting Party with Paul Noeldner
Meet at the Warner Park Shelter by the lagoon. Parking is available nearby. Learn about wetland plants, birds and animals on a family-friendly outing to Warner Park’s newly restored and newly named Castle Creek. Jump in and help Wild Warner members, Scouts and neighborhood volunteers with wetland restoration planting. Rain date if cancelled will be Tuesday, May 19 6:00pm. For questions please contact Paul Noeldner 608-698-0104. Volunteer co-leaders welcome. Dogs must be on leash unless in the dog park area. Walks at Warner Park the 3rd Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City partners Wild Warner, Madison Audubon and Madison Parks.

Reminder on Field Updates: How to know if your field is open
The best and ONLY way to know if your field is open for play is to call the Rainout Line (608)267-8787. Weekdays the line will be updated by 2:00pm, weekends and holidays the line will be updated by 9:00am.The line will be updated if fields are questionable, if no update by times listed, fields are open for play.
Goodman Pool is scheduled to open Thursday, June 11! Stay tuned – if the weather is right we may be open for Memorial Weekend! That includes the splash parks.
