Physician: Dr. Ann O’Rourke
Topic: Trauma Prevention
Dr. Ann O’Rourke is a surgeon for UW Health, specializing in trauma, burn and surgical critical care, hernias, and acute care surgery. She received her medical degree and did her surgical residency at the University of Wisconsin, and is now an associate professor in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. In 2012, Dr. O’Rourke was honored with the Madison Magazine Top Doctors Award for Trauma.
Join Dr. O’Rourke for a walk in Warner Park, along with a discussion about how YOU can prevent trauma! Listen to Dr. O’Rourke’s professional advice on the ways to go about preventing trauma in your health, and then ask her your own specific questions as you go for a walk.

Join us on Friday nights from 5:30pm –8:30pm for family fun! Take one of the family fitness classes for all ages; take flight in the bouncy house in the gymnasium; try your hand at throwing clay in our pottery studio; stop by the art room for this month’s drop-in art project; or challenge your kids to a ping pong match in our game room. Kids age 11 and under need to be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available in person the night of the event for $5 per family. Don’t miss out on a chance to play and have fun with Madison Parks! This event is great for families of all ages.

Big Rig Gig – The Big Rig Gig is a showcase of Madison’s premier public service machinery, equipment and employees. Kids of all ages (adults too!) are welcomed to climb on, explore and get up close and personal with the big rigs and meet the employees who operate them.
