A night of dancing and fun with Madison Parks!
(Madison, WI) – Madison Parks will host the first Family Hoedown on Saturday, November 10 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Olin Park Pavilion.
The Madison Parks Family Hoedown is an exciting opportunity for families and friends of all ages to spend some quality time together and let loose on the dance floor! There will be a free hayride, lessons, music and square dance caller, as well as refreshments for all participants.
The event will be held at the Olin Park Pavilion near Madison’s downtown. As one of the most historic buildings owned by the city, Olin Park Pavilion offers a unique atmosphere that is perfect for all varieties of events and dancing. In 2000, the pavilion was renovated to better resemble the original ‘barn,’ built in 1884. With its quaint stage and beautiful hardwood floors it has the perfect setting and feel for the music and square dancing of a Hoedown.
“The Family Hoedown is an exciting event that will feel right at home at the Olin Park Pavilion,” says Superintendent of the Madison Parks Division, Kevin Briski. “It’s a great way to get together with family and friends this fall and have some old-fashioned fun.”
Participants are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time through Madison Parks. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Warner Park Community and Recreation Center or over the phone by calling (608) 245-3690. Tickets are available now through Monday, November 5. Tickets are $7.50 per person or $25 for a group or family of 4 or more. Space is limited, so be sure to buy your tickets early!
The Madison Parks Family Hoedown is a part of a family dance series. Keep your eye out for more information on the Daddy/Daughter Dance and Mother/Son Luau later this winter and early spring.
