On behalf of the Hoyt Park Area Joint Neighborhood Plan Committee we would like to invite you to become an active participant in the planning effort.
Please consider joining one of the following subcommittees to work on specific aspects of the planning process:
- Communications Subcommittee (website, emails, posters, fliers, signs)
- Consultant RFP Subcommittee (planning consultant solicitation)
- Fundraising Subcommittee (funds to support communications and public event needs)
- Youth and Senior Outreach Subcommittee (events and surveys targeted to these residents)
- Social Subcommittee (meeting and public event coordination)
- Neighborhood Inventory Subcommittee (photographing and cataloging aspects of the neighborhood)
- Planning Process Documentation Subcommittee (keeping a record of our collective efforts)
The purposes and needs of each subcommittee are described more fully in the attached document.
Please email your interest in volunteering to jasonjvalerius@gmail.com.
Volunteers will be welcomed at any point in the planning process, but the subcommittees will be formalized and chairpersons nominated at the next Hoyt Area Plan Committee meeting, Monday, April 18, 6:45 pm at the Sequoya Public Library. Replies before that meeting are appreciated, and your attendance at that meeting is welcome (but not necessary to become a volunteer).
Please forward this message to neighbors that may not be receiving emails about the plan through the Hoyt Area Plan Google Group: https://groups.google.com/group/hoytareaplan
A friendly forward to your neighborhood association or bunco group would be great!
Anyone seeking more information about the process or the boundaries of the planning area is invited to visit our website: https://sites.google.com/site/hoytareaplan
Thank you for your support and involvement in this important effort!
